01 Overview
Estra-4,9-diene-3,17-dione ('dienedione' or 'tren precursor') is a diketone marketed as an oral prohormone that theoretically reduces in the body toward 17beta-hydroxy 19-nor dienes related to trenbolone. It was widely sold in supplement products before the Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act era.
No controlled human studies exist. Its use rests on the assumption of favourable metabolic conversion and on anecdotal reports of potent, non-estrogenic effects and marked suppression; it is also 17-keto, requiring in-vivo reduction to an active alcohol.
02 Mechanism
Prohormone: in-vivo 17-keto reduction yields a 19-nor dienol androgen-receptor agonist related to trenbolone, driving strong AR-mediated anabolism without aromatisation.
