Testosterone Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate

Also known as Test hexa · Testosterone cyclohexylmethylcarbonate

A long-acting testosterone ester using the hexahydrobenzylcarbonate (cyclohexylmethyl carbonate) group, the same carbonate ester used in the veterinary trenbolone product Parabolan. Applied to testosterone it would give a slow, extended depot release comparable to enanthate or slightly longer, allowing infrequent dosing. It has no pharmaceutical history and is essentially a theoretical/underground testosterone ester.

01 Overview

Carbonate esters like hexahydrobenzylcarbonate slow steroid release similarly to long carboxylic acid esters. This particular ester is famous on trenbolone (Parabolan) but has no established use on testosterone. A testosterone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate would behave as a long-acting testosterone depot, releasing plain testosterone after hydrolysis.

Since no pharmaceutical or veterinary product exists, there are no pharmacokinetic data specific to this ester of testosterone. Any effects and side effects are simply those of testosterone with an extended, slow release profile. It is included for completeness in the injectable testosterone-ester family and should be considered uncharacterised in humans.

02 Mechanism

The carbonate ester is slowly hydrolysed to release testosterone, which activates the androgen receptor to drive anabolism and aromatises to estradiol.
