Trenavar (trendione)
Trenavar (trendione, estra-4,9,11-triene-3,17-dione) is a non-methylated prohormone that converts to trenbolone. Reputed for dramatic dry recomposition, it also inherits trenbolone's harsh side-effect profile — night sweats, aggression, and cardiovascular strain — on anecdotal evidence only.
01 Overview
Trenavar is the 'dione' prohormone to trenbolone, differing from the active hormone by a ketone that is reduced in the body to yield trenbolone (or a closely related metabolite). Because trenbolone is a potent non-aromatising anabolic androgen, users report striking recomposition — simultaneous fat loss and dry lean gain — along with the characteristic downsides.
Although not 17-alpha-methylated, trendione still stresses the body and there are reports of harsh sides typical of trenbolone: insomnia, night sweats, aggression, reduced cardio capacity, and possible lipid/renal strain. There are no controlled human studies; the compound is characterised through doping-control work and user reports. It falls under designer-steroid legislation and is banned in sport.
02 Mechanism
Reduced in vivo to trenbolone, a potent non-aromatising androgen receptor agonist with progestogenic activity.
03 Dosing
| Tier | Dose | Route | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common (marketed) | 30–90 mg/day | Oral | Historic labelled dosing over short 4-week runs; harsh sides at the higher end. |
