Thymogen
Thymogen (Glu-Trp, glutamyl-tryptophan) is a synthetic dipeptide immunomodulator derived from thymic peptides, used clinically in Russia as an immunostimulant. Some Russian clinical data exist, but Western independent trials are lacking, keeping the evidence base thin.
01 Overview
Thymogen is a short synthetic dipeptide developed from thymus-derived immunoregulatory peptides. In Russia it is a registered immunostimulant used adjunctively in infections and immunodeficiency, delivered by injection or intranasal spray, with domestic clinical use supporting T-cell modulation claims.\n\nOutside that setting there is little independent, blinded trial evidence, and it is not approved in the US or EU. In peptide-therapy circles it is sold as a research immunomodulator.
02 Mechanism
Modulates T-lymphocyte differentiation and cytokine balance, normalising immune indices; part of the thymic peptide family alongside thymalin and thymosin-alpha-1.
