Salbutamol / Albuterol
Salbutamol (albuterol in the US) is a short-acting beta-2 agonist and one of the most widely used asthma reliever medications worldwide. It is sometimes used off-label for fat loss as a milder, shorter-acting alternative to clenbuterol, but its very short half-life and weaker thermogenic effect make it far less potent for that purpose.
01 Overview
Salbutamol is a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist used as a rescue bronchodilator in asthma and COPD. It is extremely well characterised, with decades of clinical use across inhaled, oral and intravenous routes. Its safety profile at therapeutic inhaled doses is excellent.
As a fat-loss agent it is used off-label at oral doses, favoured by some because its short half-life clears quickly and side effects are more transient than clenbuterol. However the thermogenic effect is modest and tolerance to the metabolic effect develops. Oral use carries the same sympathomimetic side effects as other beta agonists.

Short-acting selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist. Relaxes bronchial smooth muscle and produces a modest, transient increase in metabolic rate and lipolysis.
