Procaterol is a selective beta-2 agonist bronchodilator used mainly in Japan and parts of Asia for asthma and COPD, available in oral and inhaled forms. It has an intermediate duration of action. It is not marketed in the US or much of Europe and has no established physique or fat-loss use, though its oral availability makes it a beta-agonist of the same general class as clenbuterol.

01 Overview

Procaterol is a potent selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist developed in Japan and used across several Asian markets as a bronchodilator for asthma and chronic obstructive airway disease. It is available as oral tablets, syrup and metered-dose inhaler, with a duration of action of roughly 8-12 hours orally.

It is not approved in the United States or many European countries, limiting the human data available in Western literature, though it has decades of clinical use in its home markets. Its side-effect profile is the standard beta-2 agonist one: tremor, palpitations, headache and, at higher doses, metabolic effects. It is not a recognised cutting agent, but as an orally active beta-2 agonist it shares clenbuterol's mechanism and sympathomimetic risks.

Potent selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist. Raises cyclic AMP in bronchial smooth muscle to produce bronchodilation, with intermediate duration and the usual systemic beta-2 effects.
