Nisterime Acetate
An obscure DHT-derived androgen (a nitrosocarbamate ester of a 5α-androstane) once explored as a potential androgen/contraceptive adjunct. Essentially uncharacterised in modern human use; catalogued here as a genuine but near-forgotten synthetic androgen.
01 Overview
Nisterime acetate is a little-known synthetic androgen built on a 5α-androstane (DHT-type) skeleton and investigated decades ago in the context of androgen research and male fertility regulation. It never reached meaningful clinical use and has almost no accessible modern pharmacology.
As a DHT-derived, non-aromatising androgen it would be expected to give dry, androgenic effects with HPTA suppression, but essentially all specifics are inferred from its structural class rather than measured. It is included as a real historical designer/experimental androgen with a deservedly very low research score.
02 Mechanism
Androgen receptor agonist on a 5α-androstane (DHT-type) scaffold; the acetate ester modifies release. Being 5α-based it does not aromatise to estrogen.
