N-Methyltyramine (NMT) is a trace amine found in bitter orange and barley, used in fat-burners for mild adrenergic stimulation and appetite/gastric effects. It is often paired with synephrine and hordenine; human data is limited.

01 Overview

N-Methyltyramine is a methylated derivative of tyramine occurring in citrus and cereal grains. In supplements it is promoted for mild energy, fat mobilisation and stimulation of gastrin release (marketed as aiding digestion or 'pump').

Evidence is thin and largely indirect. It is a sympathomimetic and shares the class caution about blood pressure, particularly if combined with MAO inhibitors or other stimulants.
