MPBP (4'-methyl-alpha-pyrrolidinobutiophenone) is a pyrrolidine synthetic cathinone stimulant, structurally related to the pyrovalerone/PVP family. Sold as a research chemical, it acts as a potent dopamine reuptake inhibitor. Human data is minimal; anecdotal reports describe strong, compulsive stimulation typical of the pyrrolidinophenone class.

01 Overview

MPBP is a pyrrolidine cathinone in the pyrovalerone lineage, marketed as a legal-grey stimulant. Users describe intense, focused stimulation with a strong compulsive quality, though the shorter butyrophenone chain makes it somewhat less potent than longer-chain analogues like MDPV.

Pyrrolidine cathinones are especially prone to compulsive redosing and binge use, on top of the usual cardiovascular strain, comedown and unknown neurotoxicity. No controlled human studies exist; figures are approximate.

Potent, selective noradrenaline-dopamine reuptake inhibitor at the dopamine and noradrenaline transporters, with little serotonin activity, characteristic of pyrrolidinophenone cathinones.
