Mirodenafil
Mirodenafil is another South Korean PDE5 inhibitor (marketed as Mvix) developed for erectile dysfunction. It is highly PDE5-selective, which is associated with a lower incidence of visual side effects, and has a short-to-intermediate half-life. Like udenafil, its evidence and availability are concentrated in Asian markets.
01 Overview
Mirodenafil selectively inhibits PDE5 with high selectivity over PDE6, so visual disturbances are uncommon. Its half-life is around 2.5 hours, giving an on-demand profile. It has been evaluated in Korean trials for erectile dysfunction, including in men with diabetes, showing efficacy consistent with other PDE5 inhibitors.
It is not licensed in the US or most of Europe, so material outside Korea is typically grey-market with the attendant uncertainty in purity and dosing. Standard class precautions — above all the nitrate contraindication — apply.
