MiPLA (Lysergic acid methylisopropylamide)
MiPLA (lysergic acid methylisopropylamide, LAMIDE) is a close analogue of LSD in which one ethyl of the diethylamide is replaced with methyl and the other with isopropyl. It is a psychedelic of somewhat lower potency than LSD and has been the subject of a small amount of modern pharmacological research.
01 Overview
MiPLA is structurally very similar to LSD and is thought to share its primary mechanism. It has attracted academic interest as a comparatively "gentle" lysergamide; recent binding and functional studies have profiled it alongside LSD, though it has not been through clinical efficacy trials in patients.
Users report an LSD-like experience that is milder and often shorter, with reduced potency (higher microgram doses are needed). All dose ranges here remain anecdotal, and the standard psychedelic safety considerations apply.
02 Mechanism
Partial agonist at 5-HT2A and related serotonin receptors; the mixed methyl/isopropyl amide reduces potency relative to the diethylamide of LSD.
03 Dosing
| Tier | Dose | Route | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Threshold | 15–30 mcg | Sublingual | Microdose range. |
| Common | 100–200 mcg | Sublingual | Full psychedelic dose; less potent than LSD. |
| Strong | 200–350 mcg | Oral | Strong experience. |
