Methoxygonadiene (Max LMG) is a progestin-derived prohormone that converts toward the potent progestin/anabolic promagnon-type steroid. Used as a non-aromatising 'wet' bulking base with anti-estrogen synergy, its effects and its progestogenic risks are documented only anecdotally.
01 Overview
Methoxygonadiene (also called Max LMG or methoxydienone) is a 13-ethyl gonane steroid related to the progestin family. In the body it is thought to convert to an active progestin/anabolic compound (a promagnon/tetrahydrogestrinone-adjacent structure), giving it a reputation as a non-aromatising 'base' compound that stacks well and adds fullness without direct estrogen conversion.
Because its lineage is progestational, the main concerns are progestogenic side effects — libido changes and potential gynecomastia via progesterone-receptor activity — alongside HPTA suppression. It is not 17-alpha-methylated, so liver strain is comparatively lower than the alkylated designer steroids. No controlled human data exist; all claims are anecdotal or inferred from related progestins. It is treated as a designer steroid under sport and drug regulations.
