Methenolone Caproate

Also known as Primobolan caproate · Methenolone hexanoate

A medium-acting caproate (hexanoate) ester of methenolone, sitting between the short acetate and long enanthate esters of the mild Primobolan parent. The caproate ester would give a release duration slightly shorter than enanthate, useful for smoothing blood levels of this gentle, non-aromatising DHT derivative. It has essentially no pharmaceutical history and is a niche underground ester.

01 Overview

Methenolone is a mild, non-aromatising, non-17-alpha-alkylated androgen used for lean mass preservation. Its established esters are acetate (oral/short injectable) and enanthate (Primobolan Depot). A caproate ester falls in between in chain length, giving intermediate release kinetics.

There is no pharmaceutical or veterinary methenolone caproate, so no pharmacokinetic study exists for it. Its expected profile is identical to methenolone with a medium-duration ester: gentle anabolism, no estrogenic activity, low hepatotoxicity and moderate suppression. It is included to round out the injectable methenolone-ester family and is uncharacterised in humans.

02 Mechanism

Methenolone is a mild, non-aromatising androgen receptor agonist; the caproate ester is hydrolysed at an intermediate rate to give medium-duration release.

03 Dosing

Common300–500 mg/wkIMAnecdotal; extrapolated from methenolone enanthate dosing.
High500–700 mg/wkIMCost and mildness usually limit high dosing.
