Halostachine

Also known as N-methylphenylethanolamine · N-methyl-beta-phenylethanolamine

Halostachine (N-methylphenylethanolamine) is a synephrine-like sympathomimetic amine found in the grass Halostachys and sold in fat-burners as a mild adrenergic stimulant. Human safety and efficacy data are almost nonexistent.

01 Overview

Halostachine is structurally similar to synephrine and phenylephrine, an ethanolamine sympathomimetic. It appears in some thermogenic and pre-workout products as a stimulant and appetite modulator.

There is very little human research; most information is extrapolated from its adrenergic structure and animal work. It shares the general cardiovascular caution of the synephrine class.

02 Mechanism

Beta- and alpha-adrenergic agonist activity similar to synephrine, promoting mild lipolysis and cardiovascular stimulation.
