GHRP-2
GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a second-generation growth-hormone-releasing peptide and ghrelin-receptor agonist, more potent at releasing GH than GHRP-6 and with somewhat less appetite stimulation. It is approved in Japan as a diagnostic agent for GH secretion, giving it more human data than most secretagogues. Non-medical physique use remains anecdotal.
01 Overview
GHRP-2 potently stimulates a GH pulse via the ghrelin receptor. It still increases appetite and modestly raises cortisol and prolactin, but generally less hunger than GHRP-6 at comparable GH release. Its use as an approved diagnostic (pralmorelin) in Japan provides validated human pharmacology.
It is commonly paired with a GHRH analogue in non-medical use for synergistic GH release. Efficacy for body composition in healthy adults is not established by controlled trials.
