ETH-LAD
ETH-LAD (6-ethyl-6-nor-LSD) is a lysergamide analogue of LSD in which the N6 methyl group is replaced by ethyl. It is somewhat more potent than LSD and reported to be more visual, with a notable body load and vasoconstriction. Active doses are in the microgram range. Human data are almost entirely anecdotal.
01 Overview
ETH-LAD is a semi-synthetic lysergamide first described by Shulgin and a 5-HT2A agonist. Replacing the N6 methyl of LSD with an ethyl group modestly increases potency and, by user accounts, shifts the experience toward stronger visuals and a heavier body load. It is active in micrograms and usually taken orally or sublingually.
Reports frequently mention pronounced physical effects, including vasoconstriction and body tension, sometimes more than with LSD at equivalent intensity. As a lysergamide research chemical, potency varies between batches and blotter dosing is imprecise, making titration difficult. Formal human pharmacology is lacking.
02 Mechanism
Lysergamide agonist at serotonin 5-HT2A (and other serotonin) receptors; N6-ethyl substitution modestly increases potency relative to LSD.
03 Dosing
| Tier | Dose | Route | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Threshold | 20–40 mcg | Oral | Active in micrograms; slightly more potent than LSD. |
| Common | 50–100 mcg | Sublingual | Reported more visual than LSD; individual sensitivity varies. |
| Strong | 100–200 mcg | Oral | Strong visuals with pronounced body load and vasoconstriction. |
