Creatine Hydrochloride

Creatine HCl bonds creatine to hydrochloric acid, greatly increasing solubility in water. Marketing extrapolates this to superior absorption and lower required doses, but few controlled trials directly compare it with monohydrate for performance or muscle creatine uptake, and those that exist show no meaningful advantage.
Once dissolved and absorbed, it delivers the same creatine that monohydrate does, so the underlying ergogenic evidence is inherited from creatine itself rather than demonstrated for this salt. Chosen mainly by users who report less bloating on smaller doses.
02 Mechanism
Dissociates to free creatine after ingestion, then acts identically to any creatine source by raising muscle phosphocreatine for ATP resynthesis.
