CanKet (2'-oxo-PCM) is a recently marketed ketamine-like arylcyclohexylamine dissociative. Like related compounds it is presumed to act as an NMDA receptor antagonist, producing dissociation, analgesia and anaesthetic effects. It is a very new research chemical with almost no published pharmacological or safety data.

01 Overview

CanKet emerged on the research-chemical market as another ketamine analogue offered after controls tightened on earlier dissociatives. It is reported anecdotally to produce ketamine-like dissociation, but virtually nothing is formally documented about its pharmacology, potency or toxicology.

Given its novelty, dosing is uncertain and product purity unreliable. It should be treated as an uncharacterised dissociative carrying the general risks of the class: cardiovascular stimulation, heavy dissociation at high doses, compulsive redosing, and possible urinary toxicity with heavy use.

Presumed arylcyclohexylamine NMDA receptor antagonist, reducing glutamatergic excitatory transmission to produce dissociation and anaesthesia.
