alpha-D2PV

Also known as alpha-D2PV

alpha-D2PV (alpha-di(2-thienyl)pyrrolidinopentane, or a dihydro/dithienyl pyrrolidinovalerophenone analogue) is a niche synthetic cathinone-type stimulant of the pyrrolidinophenone family, structurally related to alpha-PVP with a modified aromatic system. It has essentially no published human pharmacology; reported effects are anecdotal and describe a potent, focused stimulant with heavy redose pressure.

01 Overview

alpha-D2PV is an obscure pyrrolidinophenone ('pyrro') stimulant sold as a 'research chemical', reported to resemble alpha-PVP in its potent, focused and compulsive stimulant character. It is among the least-documented compounds in the series.

The class hazards apply in full and are amplified in the potent pyrrolidinophenones: compulsive redosing, cardiovascular strain, harsh comedown and unknown neurotoxicity. There are no controlled human studies, so figures are approximate and drawn from sparse user reports.

Presumed potent inhibitor of dopamine and noradrenaline reuptake with little serotonergic action, in line with the alpha-pyrrolidinophenone cathinones.
