ALD-52 (1-acetyl-LSD) is a lysergamide and prodrug-type analogue of LSD, differing by an acetyl group on the indole nitrogen. It is thought to convert to LSD in the body and produces broadly LSD-like effects. Active doses are in the microgram range and it is usually taken orally or sublingually. Human data are almost entirely anecdotal.

01 Overview

ALD-52 is 1-acetyl-LSD, a semi-synthetic lysergamide historically noted in connection with LSD research. It is generally considered a prodrug that is hydrolysed to LSD, so its effects closely resemble those of LSD, though users often report a slightly softer or more manageable character. It is active in micrograms and typically dosed on blotter.

Because potency and purity of research-chemical lysergamides vary and blotter dosing is imprecise, effects can be difficult to titrate. As with LSD, the main risks are psychological rather than physiological, though vasoconstriction is mild and dosing errors can produce overwhelming experiences. Controlled human data are essentially absent.
