4-Me-PVP (MPHP-related pyrrolidinophenone)

Also known as 4-Me-PVP · 4-methyl-alpha-PVP

4-Me-PVP is a ring-methylated analogue of alpha-PVP within the pyrrolidinophenone cathinone family, offered as a designer stimulant. Like its parent it is presumed to be a potent norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor with high abuse potential and no meaningful human safety data.

01 Overview

4-Me-PVP (4-methyl-alpha-pyrrolidinovalerophenone) adds a methyl group to the aromatic ring of alpha-PVP. It circulates on research-chemical markets as one of many pyrrolidinophenone variants created to evade drug schedules.

No clinical data exist. Assessment relies entirely on analogy to alpha-PVP and related cathinones, predicting potent, compulsive stimulation with significant cardiovascular and psychiatric risk.

02 Mechanism

Presumed potent norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor of the pyrrolidinophenone class.
