3-Cl-PCP (3-chlorophencyclidine) is a chlorinated analogue of PCP that appeared on the research-chemical market in the 2010s. It is an NMDA receptor antagonist reported to be potent and long-acting, with essentially no formal human data. User reports and its structural relationship to PCP point to comparatively high toxicity and agitation risk.

01 Overview

3-Cl-PCP is one of the more recent PCP analogues to reach grey-market distribution. It has not been studied clinically, and knowledge of its effects rests on anecdote and analogy to PCP.

Reported effects include strong dissociation, stimulation and analgesia, with a notably long duration that encourages inadvertent redosing. Like PCP, it appears to carry a higher risk of agitation, psychosis and general toxicity than the diarylethylamine dissociatives, and its potency makes accurate dosing difficult.

Non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist (open-channel blocker); chlorination is thought to increase potency and duration relative to PCP.
