2C-C (4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine) is a psychedelic phenethylamine of the 2C series first described by Alexander Shulgin in PiHKAL. 2C-C is one of the halogenated members of the 2C family of substituted phenethylamines. It acts as a serotonin 5-HT2A/2C receptor agonist and is typically taken orally, with effects lasting several hours. Users report visual distortion, altered mood and cognition, and, at higher doses, a tendency toward sedation and closed-eye imagery rather than the stimulation seen with some other 2C compounds.
As with most 2C research chemicals, dosing is difficult because potency varies with the exact analogue and batch purity, and misidentified or mislabelled powders are common on the unregulated market.
