3-Fluoroethamphetamine (3-FEA)
3-Fluoroethamphetamine (3-FEA) is a fluorinated N-ethyl amphetamine, structurally related to the fluoroamphetamines and fluoroethamphetamine series. It is reported as a stimulant with mild entactogenic character. Human data is essentially absent, making it one of the least-characterised compounds in this set.
01 Overview
3-FEA is the meta-fluoro, N-ethyl homologue in the fluoroamphetamine/ethamphetamine family, related to 3-FA and the 2-FMA series of designer stimulants. The N-ethyl group and fluorine position combine to produce a stimulant with some serotonergic, mildly entactogenic character.
There is virtually no scientific or medical literature specific to 3-FEA; understanding is extrapolated from its structural relatives. Effective doses, safety and neurotoxicity are unknown, and it should be treated as an essentially uncharacterised novel stimulant.
02 Mechanism
Presumed to act as a releasing agent and reuptake inhibitor of dopamine, noradrenaline and serotonin, by analogy with related fluorinated amphetamines; exact profile is unconfirmed.
03 Dosing
| Tier | Dose | Route | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light | 20–40 mg | Oral | Anecdotal only; extrapolated from related compounds. |
| Common | 20–50 mg | Insufflated | Faster onset; increases redosing and cardiovascular risk. |
| Common | 40–80 mg | Oral | Highly uncertain; no reliable dosing data exists. |
04 Effects
