2-Fluoromethamphetamine (2-FMA) is a fluorinated methamphetamine analogue used as a functional stimulant. Users describe a clear-headed, focused profile with relatively low euphoria, which has made it a popular 'productivity' research chemical. Human data is limited to anecdote and analytical reports.

01 Overview

2-FMA is a ring-fluorinated analogue of methamphetamine. It is often described by users as a relatively clean, functional stimulant with strong focus and wakefulness but comparatively modest euphoria, making it one of the more widely used designer stimulants for cognitive/wakefulness purposes.

There are no controlled human trials. Its reputation for functionality does not remove class hazards: cardiovascular strain, sleep disruption, comedown and dependence remain concerns, and its long-term and neurotoxic effects are unknown.

02 Mechanism

Acts as a releasing agent and reuptake inhibitor of dopamine and noradrenaline, similar to methamphetamine but with a subjectively less euphoric, more functional profile attributed to the ortho-fluoro substitution.
