2-Fluoroketamine (2-FK)
2-Fluoroketamine (2-FK) is a novel ketamine analogue research chemical in which the chlorine of ketamine is replaced by fluorine at the 2-position of the aryl ring. It is a dissociative NMDA antagonist reported to be roughly ketamine-like, with no clinical data and unknown toxicology. It is distinct from 2-FDCK, which already appears in this database.
01 Overview
2-FK is one of several fluorinated ketamine analogues that emerged as ketamine substitutes on the research-chemical market. Anecdotally it is described as close to ketamine in character and potency, though this is unverified. It shares the arylcyclohexanone scaffold and non-competitive NMDA blockade of the parent.
There is no human clinical study, no pharmacokinetic characterisation and no reliable toxicology. It plausibly carries the ketamine class risks of urinary tract damage with heavy use and dependence, and grey-market identity and purity are unverifiable.
