2-Fluoroamphetamine (2-FA) is a fluorinated amphetamine analogue sold as a research chemical stimulant. Its effect profile is described anecdotally as close to that of dextroamphetamine, with fewer euphoric and more functional/stimulant qualities. There is essentially no human pharmacological or safety data.

01 Overview

2-FA is one of several ring-fluorinated amphetamines that circulated in the research-chemical market as a substitute for scheduled amphetamines. The fluorine at the 2-position modestly alters potency and duration relative to amphetamine while retaining classic releasing-agent activity at dopamine and noradrenaline transporters.

User reports describe a clean, long-lasting stimulant effect with appetite suppression and insomnia, but the compound has never been studied in humans in any controlled setting. Purity, dose accuracy and long-term risks are unknown, and the profile below is assembled almost entirely from self-reports and analogy to amphetamine.

Acts as a substrate-type releasing agent at dopamine and noradrenaline transporters, increasing synaptic monoamine concentrations, similar to amphetamine.
