1B-LSD
1B-LSD is a semisynthetic lysergamide, the 1-butanoyl derivative of LSD, sold as a research chemical on blotter. It is generally regarded as a prodrug or slightly less potent analogue of LSD, producing comparable psychedelic effects. Human data is limited to user reports; no clinical studies exist.
01 Overview
1B-LSD is 1-butanoyl-LSD, part of a family of N1-acylated LSD derivatives created to occupy a legal grey area. Like other 1-acyl lysergamides it is thought to act largely as a prodrug, with the acyl group cleaved to release LSD or to behave very similarly to it. It is distributed almost exclusively on blotter dosed in micrograms.
Reported effects are essentially those of LSD: visual geometry and distortions, mood elevation or lability, altered thought patterns, time distortion and stimulation, over a long duration. Potency is reported as broadly similar to or slightly lower than LSD. As with all lysergamides, difficult psychological reactions and, rarely, persistent perceptual changes are the main concerns; physiological toxicity is low.

Believed to act as a prodrug to LSD or directly as an agonist at serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, the primary site of classical psychedelic action.
