GLP-1 and dual-agonist drugs like semaglutide and tirzepatide are effective enough that most people who start them will stay on them, which makes managing the side effects a practical question rather than an afterthought. Almost all of the common problems are gastrointestinal and follow directly from how the drugs work: they slow the stomach and turn down appetite. - Vomiting and diarrhoea occur less often but follow the same pattern — worse during escalation, better with time and smaller meals.
